FOUND PHOTO BUREAU

The month of June is dedicated to found photography. I have been collecting old film photographs, negatives and camera related items for many years. They have come from a variety of sources including Deptford Flea Market in London. When I find a collection of old photographs there is always an element of sadness that they have been separated from their original owner. By holding on to them I feel that I am playing a part in preserving a little slice of history. It would be sad to see these beautiful things lost forever.

Over the month I will be sharing with you some of the moments captured on camera by ordinary folk. They tell an interesting tale about friendships, family celebrations, holidays, changing fashions and other fascinating scenes from everyday life.
